Re: IMDB script doesn't work
I am also working on the iMDB fix. If the current version of the script has already corrupted some entries, in theory it is possible to delete the single entry, simply by selecting it and pressing DELETE on the keyboard, then you just need to recreate it and wait for the updated version of the ...

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
Aptly put. I couldn't agree more. Thanks to Antoine, at least the possibility of anyone's catalogue getting irretrievably corrupted are taken care of.Dorohedoro wrote: 2025-06-12 18:24:14 If I lose that list it will be like losing a close-knit relative.

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
A local backup is not really enough anyway. There can be so many things that happen to such file.
. . .
Or simply online backup solutions, now with the cloud there are more possibilities :)
And Antoine yet again cleanly sidesteps a request to consider a long-overdue update. :hihi:
But yes ...

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
That's what I was going to say: make backups from time to time! :)
I'll try to check the script in the next days, if someone else has time to do it before any contribution is welcome ;)
Antoine, you are the one to blame for my not doing regular backups . I started using the AMC probably ...

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
Losing a catalogue with 17000 entires would be two-and-a-half times worse than losing one with 7000.Dorohedoro wrote: 2025-06-11 18:38:19 My catalog has over 17000 entries, imagine losing that.
You shoud make backups of that catalog ;-)

I'm glad that yours is safe and Antoine's suggestion has saved mine as well.

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
I just fixed the original title (to avoid a very long text causing the issues)
At least if people get that version (4.031) that will avoid corrupting their catalog if they run it, even if it won't import much data (so it is still useless).
A lot of changes are needed in the script to get it ...

Re: IMDB Script No Longer Works
The script incorrectly parsed the page and created an entry with a really too long value in one of the fields I suppose.
You saved your catalog with that corrupted entry? :/
You can try to make a new catalog and import the old one in it, excluding the "dead" entries, but I'm not sure it would work ...

Re: IMDB script doesn't work
Sorry, I don't check the forum very often, it has already been a week :/
Does the problem occur with all movies?
If so, can you make a screen captures of the options you have set? (the panels on the right of the scripts window)
You can post the image on a public image hosting site, or use http ...

I am glad to discover that I am not the only one. I guess we need a new version of the IMDB script then.

IMDB Script No Longer Works
I have suddenly run into an error that refuses to go away. Each time I try to run a script, I get one or both of the following messages:
"A call to an OS function failed"
"Cannot make a visible window modal"
Thereafter, if I try to delete the movie information for which the script was run, that ...

Re: New Field for HDR Information
Antoine, I had tried taking the custom field route (Tools>Mange Fields>New Field . . .) but I couldn't figure out how to get that field to import the relevant section from the "HDR Format" line of Mediainfo.
Also, since HDR really is the key difference between HD and UHD, I think importing HDR ...

New Field for HDR Information
Most new UHD 4K blu-rays are coming out with Dolby Vision as the HDR format and relatively fewer with HDR10+. For those such as myself, moving their collections from SDR HD encodes to HDR formats in UHD resolutions, it has become essential to keep track of the HDR format in which the compressed ...

Fulvio, you have helped out all you could so all I can do is to thank you yet again for all the work you have put in. There is only ONE bug that is left in the script, and let's hope someone volunteers to correct that.
The bug in the script is that it does not pick up more than two paragraphs from ...
