Aptly put. I couldn't agree more. Thanks to Antoine, at least the possibility of anyone's catalogue getting irretrievably corrupted are taken care of.

A local backup is not really enough anyway. There can be so many things that happen to such file.

Losing a catalogue with 17000 entires would be two-and-a-half times worse than losing one with 7000.

At least if people get that version (4.031) that will avoid corrupting their catalog if they run it, even if it won't import much data (so it is still useless).
A lot of changes are needed in the script to get it ...

The script incorrectly parsed the page and created an entry with a really too long value in one of the fields I suppose.
You saved your catalog with that corrupted entry? :/
You can try to make a new catalog and import the old one in it, excluding the "dead" entries, but I'm not sure it would work ...

I am glad to discover that I am not the only one. I guess we need a new version of the IMDB script then.

I have suddenly run into an error that refuses to go away. Each time I try to run a script, I get one or both of the following messages:

"A call to an OS function failed"
"Cannot make a visible window modal"

Thereafter, if I try to delete the movie information for which the script was run, that ...

Fulvio, you have helped out all you could so all I can do is to thank you yet again for all the work you have put in. There is only ONE bug that is left in the script, and let's hope someone volunteers to correct that.
