I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but your script is not importing the Video Format

The “Video Format” field and all other fields below the “File Path” are for file information, not something to be imported from IMDb.

Also, could you add more options into the imagesize to get posters with much more quality?

Regardless of that, it will be useful to import the amount of votes in the default basic script and be accessible to everyone, not just me because I'm paying, it's important how much votes a rating have, is not the same 6.5 with 700 votes than 6.5 with 70000 votes.

I have a script I did with chatgpt for that but it's tedious to do two passes per movie just to get the amount of votes, that's why I need that feature in your script. I don't know how to integrate that code into your script, that's why I'm asking.

Oh ok, now I get it! is because the official imdb script gives you the option to add that aspect ratio info in that field or the video resolution field.

Btw, If I can't make chatgpt insert my code for votes into yours I will contact you (if you want) for the work. I have it integrated into the official imdb script, but right now that script is incomplete because is downloading the posters based on the user location (by IP), yours in that regard is perfect, it gets the right poster based on the country of the movie.

So now I have to get the information 3 times for each movie:

1.- official imdb script for everything

2.- your script for posters

3.- imdb (actor images) for actor images

It's tedious.

Munkey, would it be possible to incorporate one more feature in your wonderful script, please?: It would be great if the script could import "runtime/s" of the movies because that helps one correctly label theatrical releases, director's cuts, unrated cuts, etc.

Added this feature in v1.0.7.

I love the way you take care of proper formatting: not only are all the runtimes imported, they are imported in perfect order with each runtime in a new line with its release title. Thank you very much!

- I use different separator for Country and Category. I use slash '/', rather than comma ','
- I format actors as "actor (as character), actor (as character), ..."
- I use integer in rating, so would be nice if script did rounding of IMDb rating, eg. 5.6 would become 6.

Munkey, that was an important improvement. Thank you. The real problem here, though, is the often less-than-satisfactory quality of most IMDB reviews, among a few good ones.

The best solution to the problem of reviews could be a script that could import the text of reviews from the URL of a page which has that review. Thus, for instance, someone looking to import two reviews of Superman (2025) [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5950044], ran the script and provided it with the URL https://www.indiewire.com/criticism/mov ... 235137386/ and the script then imported the text of the IndieWire review into the 'Comments' field. Then one provided the script with another URL, https://consequence.net/2025/07/superma ... gunn-2025/, and the script then imported the 'Consequence' review of 'Superman' after the IndieWire one, and so on.

Could this script be written as an option in your IMDB script? If yes, then this will without a doubt be the best solution to the problem of reviews: it would allow each user to import as many or as few reviews as they wanted, or even none at all, and no one will be forced to remain content with the pithy, often unhelpful IMDB reviews.

Once again, thank for the fastest IMDB script currently in the AMC, a script that is efficient, economical, as well as accurate.

Yes, that makes sense. There's little point in writing a script if the doing the job takes less time manually.
