Export as...dvd menu?

Post by namek »

Hello, thank you so much for this wonderful program! :grinking:

I'm using it to catalog some DVDs containing divx movies.
Each dvd can contain up to 6 films and it's labelled simply with a number, so I need the amc file to actually find a film.
Since I'll give the movies collection to a person that is not very able to use pc, i was wondering if I can create a "video" version of the catalog, to be used on TV screen, using a normal dvd standalone player.
I mean to create a video DVD from which being able to read the list of all movies, eventually theyr description (available in the amc catalog file) and the label of the dvd they have been placed in.
It's a sort of what you could see in the automatic dvds rental machine.
I think it can be done using the dvd interactive menues. Same as when you chose a chapter of a movie.
I'll try to do it with a dvd authoring software, but it will take very long time to manually create a list of movies when they are 100+ , considering that for each film there should be a sub-menu that shows some informations about the title you selected.
I was wondering if there is a way to automatically export a list, from ant movie catalog, compatible with one of the dvd authoring software to make the process easyer.

Hi,
Thanks.
List can be exported to CSV (simple text format, can be read by Excel and many others), but I do not know if that list can then be reimported in an authoring program...

Hi.
If I correctly understand your question, smaybe the answer could be to print the movie list using a PDF printer (i.e. Broadgun PDF Machine), and then trasform the PDF in a Power Point document (using PDF2All, for instance) or in a sequence of JPG images (with the same program).
At last, you can author the JPG using MemoriesOnTV.
I think there are programs who can author even the Power Pointh, but I have no suggestions.
:D

Anyway, I have a great doubt about the resolution of the images..... but your idea could be very good.
:hum:

At last... how can you search the DVD authored?
:??:
Bye bye Boys.
