I'm using it to catalog some DVDs containing divx movies.
Each dvd can contain up to 6 films and it's labelled simply with a number, so I need the amc file to actually find a film.
Since I'll give the movies collection to a person that is not very able to use pc, i was wondering if I can create a "video" version of the catalog, to be used on TV screen, using a normal dvd standalone player.
I mean to create a video DVD from which being able to read the list of all movies, eventually theyr description (available in the amc catalog file) and the label of the dvd they have been placed in.
It's a sort of what you could see in the automatic dvds rental machine.
I think it can be done using the dvd interactive menues. Same as when you chose a chapter of a movie.
I'll try to do it with a dvd authoring software, but it will take very long time to manually create a list of movies when they are 100+ , considering that for each film there should be a sub-menu that shows some informations about the title you selected.
I was wondering if there is a way to automatically export a list, from ant movie catalog, compatible with one of the dvd authoring software to make the process easyer.
