Renaming using Date and Time
Renaming using Date and Time
This is a great feature, but I would love to also be able to use the "Taken" date in supported multimedia files, not only the Creation and Last modification date.

Hi everyone
First things first : thanks for your wonderful software I use for 6 years (more or less).
My question is fully related.
I usually use the 'Date & Time' Action to rename my pics and videos as :
yyyy'-'mm'-'dd'_'hh'-'nn (f)e
Normally, the modification date/time of the pics is the "date/time taken". But depending of the fact I had to rotate some pictures once on the PC, the modification time is the rotate time... and I did rotate before AntRenaming (I know, my bad
).
I then tried the EXIF (as said here) but unfortunatly, in this case, using %DateTimeOriginal% give the right time, but does not allow to format the date and time as the "Date & Time" Action allows to do (without seconds in my case).
Do you think it could be possible to integrate the choice 'Date taken' here :

In order to take profit of the full Date & time format options...
Thanks in advance.

Found a solution
Hi again
after netdigging a little further, I have found several solutions to be able to change the "modified time" with the "date taken" date and time. Solving my issue.
Easiest way is using XNView. Tutorial here : http://www.luzphotos.com/logiciels/ligh ... date-photo, see the Changer la date d’une photo dans Xnview section.
DL XN View : http://www.xnview.com/fr/
See also a solution using Galerie de photos Windows :

Hi,
I'm not sure why this thread is in the "Ant Movie Catalog" section instead of "Ant Renamer", I didn't notice that back then.
Formatting options for Exif date/time is on my to-do list.
In the meantime, other solutions have to be used indeed.
Another possibility is to use regular expressions action to move/delete parts of the date/time once extracted from Exif.
e.g. viewtopic.php?t=6618
