importing movie files from directory possible?

hi all,

I have a drive (HDD) with many movies that are stored as .mp4 files (H.264, encoded with x.264). Each video file has the movie title as filename.

is there an easy way to import all videofiles form that directory and automatically set meta information like file size, format and length of the movie?
is it possible to import information from IMDB without confirming each and every title (which takes a lot of time)?
