Access violation if I want print something

Post by McPringle »

Good morning!

I just installed the newly released version 3.5.0 over the old 3.4.<cantremeber>. Then I added a new movie and now I want print the DVD covers. But when I click on the print icon I get an access violation:

Access violation at address 00422983 in module 'MovieCatalog.exe'. Read of address 0000000C.

After clicking 'OK' a new message appears:

Error reading frReport1.ReportForm: Access violation at address 006412BD in module 'MovieCatalog.exe'. Read of address 00000030.

I'm actually running Windows XP SP2 with all available patches installed.

What can I do?

Thanks for this great app

It happens even before the print window is displayed?
If you create a new file and click Print, does i crash too?

Yes, thats right. I see "searching for printers" (in German, I use German translation) an before displaying the dialog box I get the access violation.

Now I created a new file (didn't save it). When I click printing I get the same error. I tried it with saving the file before clicking print but with the same result.

My files are on a file server, so I checked it again locally - but nothing changed, same error...

Any ideas?

Thanks for your fast reply!

I got it! The was a network printerconfigured in Windows which wasn't available any more. There should be added a check in Ant Movie Catalog, I suggest.

Thanks

The code that searches for printer is not made by me, I use FreeReport for that.
Seeing the error address (low number, 0000000C) I may be able to correct it easily, I'll check that, thanks for the info ;)

Je rencontre un problème identique à cet utilisateur lorsque je veux imprimer. Mon environnement est Windows XP SP2 :

access violation at address 00422983 in module "MovieCatalog.exe" Read adress 000000000C
