mystery solved!!!. It only happens on the extended desktop. both monitors are identical. same make, model, settings, but I have issues on the monitor with the extended desktop. NO problem. I'll just run on the main monitor. Thanks for your help. Great program.

if I click "advanced" in File -> Export or in Tools -> Renumber "advanced", I have the same issue.

no frame around fields. the frame is really empty except for the arrows.
unable to check the other right now, not at that computer.

i am unable to see any of the fields in the print advanced sort options screen. I have a blank screen except for the arrow in the middle. I have 2 computers both running xp pro with all updates and sp2. It works ok on one computer, but not the other. any suggestions?
