I don't think it would be an issue to have a lot of extra entries per movie entry, the major issue you could encounter is the size of the catalog if images are stored in it.
But if you store images and linked external files, that should work fine.

It was a feature added by Mickaël among the few other ones he made between version 3.6 and 4.2.1
I think that originally it was mostly for having some actor-related info and additional images, but I never used it myself.

Indeed, the inclusion of help documents is more something from 20 years ago (but the program is even older than that).

From what I find, this error is when the program crashes at very early stage, when starting.
Can you give more info on your environment, i.e. which version of Windows, was it installed or run from portable version, is it on a local drive ...

Comme répondu par mail, c'est probablement un groupage sur un champ non voulu qui a été activé. On peut revenir à la vue initiale via Affichage -> Grouper par -> Aucun.

The robots.txt is just an indication for robots so they know what they can browse or not, but it is up to each of them to follow it or not.

Unfortunately adding it will require a change in the program itself, so in the meantime the custom field has to be filled manually.

The to do list is so huge already, and I don't work much on the program since years now, except the necessary maintenance to keep it running.
This seems a rather specific data, and adding new standard fields is some work.
You could use a custom field for that, I suppose?

User agent is "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Ant Movie Catalog)", and browsing the site with that user agent set in the browser seems to work.
So it is probably a more generic anti-bot system that they use.
And it also means that just changing the user agent will not be enough, as said in the first post ...

I'm not sure that the IMDb script is really compatible with series retrieval.
It is probably possible to update the script to improve compatibility with these, but I don't really have time for that (the focus was rather made on movies) so it depends if some other user has time and knowledge for ...

At some point if sites block the retrieval of their data, I can't do anything against it, it is their right to refuse it
