Sorting

Post by Pike »

Hi there,
sorry if this bug was already reported. I can't check that for sure because I don't understand French.

Some of my movie titles are written with Latin letters and rest with Cyrillic ones. If I am sorting catalog using titles the resulting list is really weird. Looks like Latin titles are sorted properly but Cyrillic ones are placed in between Latins randomly.

My AMC is 3.4.2. OS is Windows XP.
Cheers.

The sort is done by Windows, so it depends of the region/country/language that you selected in Windows' Regional Settings.

So what should be in the regional settings in order to sort the list right???

You should set this settings to the language to the one you use.
e.g. set Russian if you write your titles in Russian.
I can't correct anything, since that's Windows that does the sorting. And Windows uses the country information to sort.
E.g. I specify "French" as language and "Belgium (French)" as country, and Windows sorts the "é", "è", "ê" like if they were simple "e"
