read straem Error when trying to open the catalog

Hi,
Did someone get this error when he tried to insert iinto his catalog?
"Stream read Error"

It usually means that your catalog file has been damaged.
Check if there is a .bak file in the same folder than your catalog.
If you found one, try to rename it to something.amc and open it.

I have encountered the same problem and I also have tried to rename, the .bak file but I keep having the same error.

Can somebody please help or do I have to start everything over?

Depends of the size of your .bak and your .amc files.
If they only are few KB in size, there is nothing that can be done.
If they are bigger (e.g. 500 KB or few MB) I could maybe try to recover a part of them, but you will have to send it to me (by FTP, ICQ, MSN or Jabber).
