i just downloaded Version 3.4.2, and this is the first time i'm using this program. oh, and i'd like to say that this is, BY FAR, the absolute BEST media organizer i've ever used.
unfortunately, i have a small problem...
i don't know if this is a bug or if there's something i'm overlooking. i did a search already in the forum, and i don't think it's been discussed.
during my search of finding a good organizer, i made myself a list of my movies in notepad, and tabbed over various information into a seperate column, figuring that i can use the list for an organizing program. i noticed AMC is capable of importing CVS files, so i copy-and-pasted my list into EXCEL and saved it as a CVS file, replacing all the tabs as single semi-colons, of course.
anyway, when i copy-and-pasted my list from notepad to EXCEL, the order of the list was exactly the same. when saving, it also mentions a problem with something dealing with features. but that's not the problem, nor do i think it's related to the problem i have. when i import it into AMC, the import window has the proper order. but when i press OK, and go to the main window, the entire list is out of order. it seems like it's just in a random order.
how can i preserve the original order? oh, and i did NOT have a number column for my original list, nor did i have one in EXCEL. but i don't think that should matter, should it? it should have the correct order all the way through.
"Import CVS" Main Window Order
AMC sorts the movie by number before adding new numbers, but unfortunately there is a bug that randomizes the un-numbered movies.
You can easily add the numbers in Excel : just put a 1 in a new column, 2 on the next line, then use the "fill serie" thing (drag the lower right corner of the cell containing "2", to the last line)
