Apply actions to only the files I have selected

How do I Apply actions to only the files I have selected? I don't want to remove the files I don't want to rename, then repeat for each file sets I want to rename. How can I do this? Thank you kindly.

Unfortunately currently you have to remove the files from the list.
The feature you request was already requested by others, so it will probably be added some day.
But I can't say when, as I don't often work on that program.
