You can do that while going in the preferences.
Tools -> Preferences -> Drop-down lists

What if I have the same films on DVD and CD-ROM (DivX) ?
Or VideoCD AND DVD-R ?

Put the movie several times in the list, or put in comments something like "also available in divx".
In the next version (4) each movie will be attached to a "media" : for each movie you will have to chose whitch media it is, and that will define which fields are available for the selected movie.
