Hi
I have over 1700 movies in this database. I want to be able to select some on a criteria, and delete all of the rest but I can't find how to do it.
Can anyone help?
Exporting partial lists
Your title suggests exporting, but you mention deleting in your message...
Both can be done by filtering using search: once you check the "Display results" option, you only see movies matching the search criteria.
If you go then to File->Export, at the bottom-left you have an option to include only visible movies (those found by the search).
For deleting the rest, you have an option "inverse results" that would display those not matching the criteria, and so you can select all & delete that.
An alternative would be using the "Display"->"Group by".
Then on a group you can right-click and then "Select"->"Whole Group".
The selected movies can then be exported by asking to include only selected movies in the export window.
