Well, i got 2 (cosmetic) suggestions - i think, could improve the ease of use.
1. One of my suggestions is a option to change the position of the film list or don't display the list at all.
What we got right now is a fixed left position list - my suggestion is to change to a top, bottom or right view.
Examples (mockup i did with my last theme):

2. My second suggestion (a harder one, i guess) is a tag or field to display the list view inside the HTML view.
Something like this:
$$ITEM_LIST - Display the entire list of films;
$$ITEM_LIST10 - Display the last 10 movies (etc).
For a navigation using only the HTML-view (to simulate the shotcut Ctrl + Page Up/Down):
$$ITEM_LISTPRV - Link to jump to the previous movie;
$$ITEM_LISTNXT - Link to jump to the next film.
