Updating fields

I have over 500 movies, some with the URL field pointing to an IMDB page, some with the URL field containing the full pathname of the movie (eg D:\Movies\Star Trek\Star Trek The Movie.avi) and some with the URL field blank. I would like to batch update all movies so that the URL field shows the pathname.

I also have 2 custom fields - Folder (in the above example this would be Star Trek) and Path (in above this would be D:\Movies\Star Trek), some of which have entries, some not. I would like to batch update these fields as well.

I have tried rescan of folder and import using a Key field and also the Updatefields script. Nothing seems to work.

Do I have to make all changes manually?

Using a script you can easily copy a field to another, but in your case you do not have the movie name anywhere for some movies?
In these cases, there may still be a way to search for a .avi or .mkv in the folder and put the first found as file name.
