file numbering

I have exposure stacked pictures always 3 pics of the same motiv, the camera does give each file its unique number.
Is there a possibility to give 3 files in a sequence the same number and the next 3 files this number plus one etc. ?
That would make clear, that the motiv is the same....

you mean you have files like
file1
file2
file3
file4
file5
file6
and you want
file1-1
file1-2
file1-2
file2-1
file2-2
file2-3
?
Unfortunately I do not think there is a way to achieve that kind of thing easily.
