Socket Error 11002 When Importing IMDB

Post by darko »

Hi,

First of all, I love this program. It is great. However, I'm getting a socket error '11002' when importing IMDB script. That's not so great.

I've never had a problem before with this and this is the first time it's happened. I've been using this program for a while. When I try to import from any other scripts, they work. Not just IMDB which I use the most and did work previously.

Not using a proxy server, deactivated firewall and disabled anti virus and no luck. Funny it's only IMDB which isn't working. Everything else is ok. Maybe something with their site I thought at first. However, for five hours?

I know this is a timeout error but why is everything else working but IMDB? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Love the program still.
:)

Hi,
It seems to work fine for me (tested with both version 3.79 and 3.80 of the script), if you have the latest version yet it may be due to one of the chosen options or a particular case due to the movie(s) tested.

Hi Antp, Thanks for your response. Yeah, I'm running the 3.79 version of the script. I didn't even know there was a 3.80 out. I've tried to reset the modem and I can access IMDB through IE (Internet Explorer) browser.

I've tried pasting the URL in directly and searching numerous movies. I'm at a bit of a loss but would really like to get the program working via IMDB. Do you have any ideas? Has a 11002 error happened before?

Thanks, Darko.

Hi, Further to the above, just tried the latest script 3.80 and no luck either. I'm also running the latest version of AMC. Any further help would be great. Thanks, Darko.

Problem Resolved

Post by darko »

Hi, Problem seems to have resolved itself. I did a little research and people have noted that they have experienced trouble accessing IMDB for three or four days. Then the problem fixes itself. This is accessing IMDB through the Web browser too. Anyway, seems this happened to me too. All working ok now! Thanks for your help.
