Viewer "edit" does not open AMC

Post by miches »

I have a strange issue. Just installed AntViewer 1.8.1 package (+ included AMC). AMC opens correctly and I was able to enter/save info for 20 movies... but...

in AntViewer when I click on the "Edit" button, it does not open AMC, but rather another instance of the AntViewer program. ?

I have used older versions of both and normally clicking the "Edit" button opened AMC/my saved movie catalog in order to edit.

(NB, I am not very tech-savvy)

Deleted/reinstalled via antp.be website (to be certain)... now clicking "Edit" in Ant Viewer does nothing.

? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

I test edit button in Ant Viewer and this works great.

Do you use AMC complete package with installation ?
Do you open a catalog in Ant Viewer before to click on edit ?

Soulsnake.

Possibly there is a problem in file associations.
I guess that the "Edit" of the viewer simply launches the .amc file?
You can repair associations from AMC in the options, though that might now work in Vista/7/8 if UAC is enabled (I haven't checked that actually).
You could try to force reassociating the .amc files to AMC by doing right click -> open with, on a .amc file.

soulsnake, yes I did open a catalog first. this portion works well. it was only when i clicked the "Edit" button: nothing happened.

antp, it was indeed a simple file association error. wow. what a simple fix - thank you, thank you!!! as i said, not very tech-savvy here. :))
