Hi, I was thinking that would be nice to get some more options for our catalogs like...
01- Name patterns, that way you can just drop the images into a folder and the program could read them when you use linked covers
02- Auto convert to a specific image format when saving added images. Usefull when you just drag and drop images from your webbrowser. Most times image gets cached to BMP by the browser so the program saves it in the same format. So having an option like this, we could set it to convert to JPG o PNG for example.
03- Auto resize pictures in case they are too big to preconfig params. Usefull when you have huber high ress covers and you just want to keep a copy of it in something like 600px tops
04- Option to add a script to favorites, a good option when you're testing new scripts and later you can't remember which ones were good.
05- An option to auto select a complete field text by just clicking it. This would be something like Windows explorer behavior, when you click once the address bar, full path is selected. If you wanna copy just a part you can just click again and then you can select just the part you want.
06- Script Sumary Log when finished to know where a script failed. Most of time when you select a big ammount of items to run against a script, you get several times different types of errors (not found, timeout, etc) With a sumary log when the script finishes you can esily know which ones failed to complete the task and select them fast enought to run them again or try to make them manually or use another site script.
07- Log window when running a script so we can check how long could take to finish the task. Nothing fancy, just a few important infos like
Total Items
Done
Failed
Estimated Time
Well that's all that comes to my mind right now and what i've been thinking about along all these years I've been using this great program
[REQ]Image, scripts and misc options
Favorite Scripts and Quick Execute
I was just going to propose this myself.04- Option to add a script to favorites, a good option when you're testing new scripts and later you can't remember which ones were good.
I was trying to misuse the language property of the scripts, but it is overwritten when the scripts are updated.
So my proposal is:
- * Add a button "Favorites" to the scripting window besides the existing buttons "Scripts" and "Editor". Pressing it will only display scripts marked as
favorite
* Add a check-box "Favorite Script" somewhere beside the script name
* Add another checkbox "Context Menu" there too. Scripts marked with that appear in the menu when you right-click on a movie (something like F6 functionality: "get information from internet with a script") and can be executed immediately.
It's named "Einstellungen ausführen " in bad German and I can see only the first two checkboxes (allow clearing fields and show result window), the third (close this window after execution) is not readable. (Are there more ?) . I guess there is a "resizeable" property not set.
Regards
Joe
Rather than checkboxes (which would look rather "heavy"), simply a different icon for favorite scripts.
To set them as favorite, maybe a context menu to set/unset the favorite status of a script, or put that in a drop-down of the new "favorites" button.
Would it be useful to differentiate favorites and context menu scripts? It would be easier to just show the favorites in the menu then.
About the non-readable option, do you use larger fonts in Windows display settings? Can you make a screenshot ? As that panel has a fixed list of only three options that part is not resizeable because it had no real reason to be.
