AMC is a great program. the sugestion i make is the posibility of supervising folders per catalag, so you don't need to import all folder.

yes i want this feature too

maybe we can do it with a script, which scans the folder for moviefiles and compare it with the path in the catalog and if it is not there it add the movie

so please antp or soulsnake write back so we see that you saw it (maybe with the script^^)

Hi,

This feature has already been added in last version (4.1.1 beta) in import window -> import media files.

How to do ?

Import movies from folders in list to import > select a key field on list header to compare movies in list to import and your existing movies (e.g. select field URL if filepath is stored in this field) > click on Import button and the program will ask you what you want to do (import new movies, update existing movies, ...)
Warning: If you don't select a key field the program will don't ask you what to do and it will import all movies.
Warning 2: The selected key field should have unique value for each movie to compare them correctly (it is the case of filepath value).

you are right thats works but maybe we can add an option to do it at the start automatically
