the same category for more than one movie in one step

Hi,

i use the amc database to import my film in myfilms plugin for mediaportal. i want to manage the film in mediaportal by self-created categories. the category of the films will not imported by the script, the option is disabled.

now i want to create categories for some films. i cannot fill in something in the field "category" if i select more than one movie. how can i do this for the movies in one step?

Hi,

Try the "Update Fields (FR-US).ifs" script, if you not already have it, it's available here
(Place this script in your AMC script directory.)

Little tutorial :
- Select your movies from the AMC list.
- Then start the "Update Fields (FR-US)" script.
- Choose "delete a field" in the list.
- Then choose "category" in the list.
- Answer "yes" to the next question.
- And finally enter your value.

Is there a Script with i can copy the content from a field to an other field? exactly the same content.

Hi,

Yes, the same as above, and you choose "copy field1 in field2" in the first list when you start the script.

the field in which the content should be copied is media label. but there is no media label in the second window.

I think you use AMC 3.5.1.
You can download AMC 4.1.0 [BETA] and run script UpdateField (it has been updated for this new version and takes into account all fields).
