damaged .amc file
hi to all. i've filled a big file with all my favourites films and etc. but after my OS win falling
this file is damaged. i've looked throw it using totalcomander viewer (f3
) and the damaged sector is currently in the start of my .amc. can any one help my to remove this sector? i've tried to do it by myself, but both viewer and catalog couldn't read the file after my correction :-). thx to all for replies
Do you have a .bak file? If so you can rename the .bak file to something else with a .amc extension and try to open it.
Else the solution if the start of the .amc file is corrupted is to make a new empty catalog (or with just one movie) and append to it the remaining part of the other catalog. It is not so easy but I already did it few times.

Just let me know and I'll send you a mail address via private message (if the file is not too large for mail).
