Need helping importing from CSV - can I overwrite entries?

Hi,
I am trying to customise AMC to use as a basic stock cataloguing program... I have CSV files prepared which imports into AMC no problem, and handles fine. However, these CSV files will need to be imported on a weekly basis and may contain the same entries as the previous ones.

Is it possible for the newer CSV file to overwrite entries with the same title/fields, rather than creating duplicate ones again?

Currently it is not possible, sorry.

It shouldn't be too difficult to write a script in your favourite tool that would take your updates and compare them against CSV export of the Catalog database, leaving only new ones. It doesn't address individual field updates, though.... Definitively something the author should consider working on.
