The Borrower Index

Post by ajwconsult »

Hello,

Cam you confirm if there is a way to keep a log of who has borrowed what with all previous records.

Example
Customer 0045 borrowed 5 titles this week
Customer 0045 borrowed 5 titles last week

Now they want to know what they have borrowed to ensure they do not duplicate what they have seen. This information then would be filtered and printed out for them and all the other customers who want to know.

If it is not possible will it be possible or is it something in the next edition.

Thanks

Hi,
You can open "loans history.csv" (found in program's folder) in Excel do filter/sort data and get such info

Thank you for that information.

I have linked the CVS file with Microsoft Access and setup the reports directly in there with filter options, works a treat.

Is it possible to have more information exported to the Loans history.csv file.

For example I would like to also have in there
- Number of Discs
- Video Format
- Movie Type

Hope you can help with these addition.

Right now it is not possible, as it would require changes in the program.
But you may eventually export the catalog to CSV and link that CSV file to the loan history with Access. Though that it would require to re-export the catalog when it is changed.
