Start movie # with "0" + use letters along with di

Post by stopkran »

Just want to offer a desired features that I'd like to see in new release:

1. When you add a new entry - would be great if you could start "Movie number" field with "0" - I am not sure but I believe that for those who can program it would be really easy to correct.

2. And also an ability to use Latin letters along with digits in "Movie number" field would be useful - let's say movie # 0123c for example.

Thank you!

1. What do you mean by "start with 0"? Having 0 as default value rather than the first available number?

2. Movie number is a number, so it only contains digits. Media label was added for these other uses, but I would have to add an option to allows to define columns, so it would be possible to replace number column by media label for example.

Here's what I meant:

- when you click on "Add" button a "Movie Number Selection" window pops up and offers you to "Enter a Number for a Movie". And if you want to enter the number you can't start it with "0" - in other words I can't assign number 034 for example to my movie. The number has to be started with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 or 9 - so I am asking if it's possible to make it the way so one could start the movie number with "0"? For example 034?

- And yes I know about "Media label" but I am just asking if it's possible to use not only digits but letters in "Movie number" field. For those who use numbers - nothing changes, but for those who want letters also - let's say 034c - that would be a good feature.

034=34=00034, it is a number, not a text.

It seems like I haven't made myself clear:

- all I need is to start movie number with 0 and ability to include letters in movie number field
Example: Movie number: "034c"

And I of course now that 034=34 - it's just for my own purposes I need to start some movies with "0"

I do not see what else to say than "movie number" = a number. For a number, 034 has the same value as 34. As it is stored as number I can't add zeros in front nor add letters. I added the "media label" field for more customized "numbers".
