[REL] [DE] World-of-Video.de script

This is the first public version of World-of-Video.de script (german).

It supports DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray and UMD Media, Filmcells are handled too. The script analyzes two resultpages (rental/sale) and combines the results into one list where you can choose the film. You can switch between small and big Picture and even a "Picture only" option has been added.

Dieses Skript für World-of-Video.de bietet folgende Besonderheiten :

- Filmsuche für Verleih und Verkauf getrennt oder zusammen wählbar per Option
- Analyse von mehreren Suchergebnisseiten und Anzeige in einer gemeinsamen Liste
- grosses oder kleines Frontcover per Option wählbar
- Unterstützung für DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray und UMD Medien sowie Filmcells mit Eintrag unter 'Medium'
- Unterstützung von Filmcells u.a. mit Größenangabe & Angabe der Limitierung (interessant für Sammler)
- optionale Übernahme der WoV Artikelnummer und des aktuellen Preises

Bekannte Einschränkungen :
- zur Zeit wird nur die jeweils erste Suchergebnisseite abgefragt und analysiert, wobei jede Seite bis zu 20 Ergebnisse liefern kann (in der Regel sollten aber schon die ersten 10 Ergebnisse ausreichen, ansonsten sollte der Suchbegriff ein wenig genauer formuliert werden)
- Anzeige aller Suchergebnisseiten ist geplant

I corrected import for DVD descriptions, as they have been missing after some minor website's changes.

@antp: It is unfortunately not possible to set a link directly to this file here in forum, because HTML is not allowed and it seems that BBCode cannot handle the ( ) inside a link (and URL command cannot handle direct links to files). I wouldn't like to rename the file because then the scripts_update script could not delete the old file from users harddisk. Any ideas that helps me linking such files ?

I know: PHPBB sucks for that, you cannot have parenthesis in URLs

You have to enter the code of the characters:

Using these codes it's possible to right-klick and save the file to harddisk with correct filename. This should be sufficient for forum posts.

Could you please upload the recent World-of-Video scriptfile then? Thanks

World-of-Video script needed an update, because website's layout has been changed .. besides I fixed some minor bugs

Yes, that has been planned since the first release. But unfortunatly there are only mods and no kind of english "standard" language file for game scripts, that could be translated to different languages (so that you can use different game scripts with one language file, like it is with movie scripts). I don't like the idea to release a translation file only for a single script. And I'd prefer to modificate the program source at the same time, but I have no Delphi yet .. and just few time.

But it's not forgotten ..

There are a script fors Games using allgame.com (allgame.ifs; allgamefulllist.ifs). But allgame.com is only in english

Here is a modificated WoV script for Games (german only!) that supports PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, GameBoy Advance and GameCube.

This script is just a proof-of-concept / forum release (v.0.1.0) that I made tonight and it is not optimized at all, nevertheless all game infos from the website should be imported fine. It works pretty well with the standard language file for movies, but I have no more time for testing now. If you find games that have problems, please let me know, I will fix it as soon as I find time for it.

The script downloads and runs properly here. Did you copy the link into a NEW browser window and then download the script to your scripts folder ? If download does not start automatically you might see the complete script in your browser - then you have to copy/paste the complete text into a plain textfile and save it as WoV_games.ifs or similar. Do not copy the text into the script editor within AMC (or you'll be missing the options).

Copy the url to a new tab works and the sript works too.

Hi,

At first thanks for the great Script

Since some month i got a problem using the Script. It wont download the Images from Wov. I always get error 404 file not found on import.

Maybe is a problem with Firewall or something like that on my own PC, but i didn't find out what the problem is. On my second PC i got the same issue an on this PC is only Windows Firewall active. Changing Firewall settings (allow all protocols and Ports) was without success.

Can someone confirm this bug?

You are right, there is a bug concerning the import of small pictures because of a small site change. It does not appear when importing pictures in big format.

This is a complete rewrite of world-of-video.de script, as they set up a brandnew website. Please take care that you have StringUtils1.pas in your scripts folder.

Dies ist eine komplett neue Fassung des world-of-video.de Skripts für die neue Version der Webseite. Bitte darauf achten, dass ab sofort die Datei StringUtils1.pas im Skripte Verzeichnis liegen muss, sonst erhält man eine Fehlermeldung.
