Drag and drp NFO for IMDB link import

Post by granx »

Could have been nice if on top of draging and dropping of avi files, we would be able to drag and drop *.nfo files and get the IMDB link imported automatically to the URL filed.

Yes, it could be useful. I'll think about it.

Would you consider this for v4.0 of AMC?

Hmm.. what kind of .nfo file are you talking about and what is it used for ? File or movie infos ? And does it contain the IMDB URL of the film ?

The .nfo files that come with movies downloaded from newsgroups and others :D
It should be easy to find URLs in such files, and then search which script imports infos from that server.
In the same way, I could accept drag & drop of ".url" files (shortcuts to URLs), I would use that myself.

Right. Seems like a very simple programming work, but very usable. I always copy and paste the IMDB URL manualy and this seems to be the longest task when adding a movie :)
