could I make a suggestion on a future improvement. Is it possible to have a link made from a movie graphic that would start a .mpg movie file on the hardrive?

It will be probably integrated better in a future version, but in current version you can put the path & name of a file in the URL field : it will be opened correctly when you click on the button on the right of the field.
