Hello, I am using latest AMC on ubuntu with wine, I have done this for years but on this recent install I can't understand why when importing films from any database non English characters are not reported correctly. Ubuntu is on UTF-8.
All characters already present in in my AMC database are well and good it is just when importing new films.
Econding characters problem with Script
Re: Econding characters problem with Script
Hi,
For which script is it? Any script?
AMC is not compatible with Unicode, so scripts either rely on UTF8Decode fonction to convert pages that use UTF8, or some custom-made function.

Re: Econding characters problem with Script
Hello! All scripts are behaving so.
Re: Econding characters problem with Script
Strange, it is difficult to find what is the cause, since on Windows that issue does not exist, as long as AMC is run as a non-unicode program (default behavior).
There is in Windows an option to enable Unicode in legacy/ANSI applications, which can cause issues, maybe there is some setting that can be disabled for a specific Windows app when it runs in Ubuntu?
