Editing a dropdown box

In my software (latest version) I have some entries in the 'media type' drop down box which are not relevant anymore, and I'd love to delete them, but I can't find a way. I can find a reference to the media type button and string in 2 of the files, but I can't find a list of contents or an array relating to them.
Can anyone tell me how I might edit the drop down entries?

Hi,
You can edit the contents via the Preferences window: there is a "Drop-down lists" entry, where you can for each list define settings and change contents. There is also an option to build the list using the contents of the catalog rather than using a pre-defined list.
