Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Ok, so here it is a new beta version of iMDB.ifs
This is a beta so you have to manually update the file:
locate your script dir (example: C:\ProgramData\Ant Movie Catalog\Scripts ), make a backup copy of IMDB.ifs file and replace the IMDB.ifs with the new one downloaded from my link.
The new version need Ant Movie Catalog 4.2.3.2 beta, if you have 4.2.2 you can download the new version from here.
I used your template to try to replicate the previous behaviour but I'm not sure it use the same formatting because you use a HTML template I don't have. So please test and let me know if it works for you (don't use it only on Ransom and Ask Any Girl titles, use with more awarded titles).
If you can use the standard view (you can press F12 on your keyboard to switch between standard view / HTML view) please let me know if left spacing works as old version (I never used award option so I don't know how it worked before). Look here please

Let me know if you find error or missing information. I don't use that option in my catalog so I don't see error or problems.
Send me a private message and write here if you find problems.

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
AMC 4.2.3 has been released as official version (so the link to the beta is not working any more).
If there are no problem reported in the next days, I'll put that new IMDb script as the new official one on the server.

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
The script is almost OK, Thank You. I noticed that it is selecting a partial list of awards, only those that are displayed on the main page of the movie. Secondly, the awards are as it is displayed on the main page and not sorted showing winners first and nominees later. This I found for the Academy Awards (Oscar list). I tested with Titanic (1997) to discover this shortcomingMrObama2022 wrote: ↑2023-05-09 22:50:46 Ok, so here it is a new beta version of iMDB.ifs

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Ok, I can fix it but I NEED to see the right output. So I have to ask for a big help: type here the correct text for award from Titanic OR paste here an image of awards taken with previous script. I never used that function (I'm not the original author of this script) so I need a working example to see the before - after / old script output - new script output / good award reporter - bad award reporter so I can easily understand where the problem is and fix it.
If you help me with right information, I can fix it (or at least I will try )

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
I have lost the information on Titanic from the previous script, however, I am posting something similar from the movie Ben-Hur. The first part is from the new script, the second is from the old script. Also, look at the awards as it appears on the home screen on IMDb. You will notice that the beta-script is taking only the awards info as is shown on the landing page, and not all the awards

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
In addition to the Awards, it seems that the Trivia part also changed and requires an update
Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Hello everybody.
I have been following this thread for a while.
Quite some time ago (can't remember months... years? ) the IMDB script used to come up with the original title in its original language and with the translated title in english. I know because my database is more than 10 years old and I have such entries in it.
For example:
Bo bui gai wak (Robin-B-Hood)
Long xiong hu di (Operation Condor)
I'm not from the UK or US or any other english-as-a-main-language country so the translated title appears in my native language.
Like I said I've been following this thread with the hope that I might be able to replicate the old behaviour. I got a rapid api key, I selected option 4 (actually I tried them all) in the script options, I set the user country to US in the script parameters but still the translated title appears in my native language. Program version is 4.2.3.3, script version says 4.025.
Anything else I can do?
Thanks.

With option 4 you should get all translated titles.iulianv wrote: ↑2023-06-11 07:43:40 Hello everybody.

I fix the behaviour for other options. The problem was some alternative titles are set as "worldwide" and are not country specific, so with 4.025 script version if there is no specific country title it will get the worldwide one. This patch only works with rapidapi api set.
Here the link for the new version 4.026.
@iulianv, please double check:
- UserCountry parameter is set to United States
- RapidAPIKey is set
- TranslatedTitle = 2 (or 4)
I'm from Italy and with this set all worked fine. If this does not work for you, please check your rapid api key. Note: sometimes rapidapi can fail (you see a rapid api error message), just wait few seconds then retry.
next step: I'll try to fix awards ...
Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Someone asked me how to get a key for RapidAPI, as it was not very clear.
So I tried myself, and I'm not sure either how to do it
I used the key found in my user account and also displayed in https://rapidapi.com/apidojo/api/imdb8/ when I'm logged in, I suppose it is correct?
I get an error 403 and then 429 (too many requests)
edit: I found what I was missing: I have to click "Subscribe to test" there, then select $0,00/month.
Maybe it could be useful to mention that URL and that info about subscribing in the window that asks for the key
Though that from there the URL cannot easily be copy/pasted...

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Next steps to do:
- fix Trivia (please @antp or someone give me an example of previous trivia output)
- add full instructions for rapidapi key creation

I can't help on that, as personally I use Allociné and not IMDb, sorryMrObama2022 wrote: ↑2023-06-19 10:05:28(please @antp or someone give me an example of previous trivia output)

I hope this is what you're looking for:MrObama2022 wrote: ↑2023-06-19 10:05:28 - fix Trivia (please @antp or someone give me an example of previous trivia output)
Notice the line "Spoilers:". I personally did not like that output, so I made a small modification of the script to make it look like this:
The previous output also had issues with "Director Cameo", "Director Trademark" and "Cameo" trivia entries, as said titles were included in the previous line, like this:
Hopefully, this can be avoided with your script. Many thanks for your work on this!
Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
I suppose it would help if I gave you some movies to work with, wouldn't you agree?
Movie with "Spoilers": https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101252
Movie with "Director Trademark" etc.: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157472
Also, you may want to check a movie with a lot of Trivia (which also happens to have all of the above, namely, Cameo, Director Cameo, Director Trademark and Spoilers categories): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107290
If you do try this movie and have "Show results window" enabled, the "Comments:" in the result window may show up as empty even when Trivia is actually received (it shows up properly and full in the main window after the results and scripting windows are closed). That's probably not something a script can fix, but I mention it so that you aren't misled into thinking Trivia wasn't received (the giveaway that it was received was that it took the results window a bit of time to show up; when there actually wasn't any Trivia it was a lot quicker to show up). At least, that was my experience with some of the "more popular" movies with a lot of Trivia entries.

Re: Incomplete Information using IMDB Script
Sorry for my huge delay on this (one month!).
This is a 4.028 alpha and the only change is on Trivia:
- I just fixed trivia option 3 and 4, I'll work on the options 1 and 2 later
- To work, trivia option 3 and 4 now NEED a rapidapi valid key
- I fixed "director cameo" in some way
- This is an alpha, I just tested it with 2 titles, so please give me some reports
Still to do:
- more and more testing
- (maybe) add code comments
- fix trivia option 1 and 2 (this could work without rapidapi key but it will be limited)
- add rapidapi account creation how-to mini guide ...
Peace and love
