Behalve dat ik het programma geweldig vind werken heb ik in de loop der tijd de volgende ideeen verzameld om het programma (in mijn ogen) te verbeteren. Hopelijk kan je er iets mee.
- Naast de IMDB rating nog een personal rating samen met veld voor wanneer de film is gezien
- Mogelijkheid om zelf aangepaste velden met drop-down lists te maken
- Een link in de database naar de film/bestanden op de harde schijf (bv dubbelclick op de movie poster of original title opent de film)
- 2e Subtitle mogelijkheid of selectiemogelijkheid met CTRL zodat meerdere Subtitle talen kunnen worden geselecteerd
- Bij Borrower een datum van uitgeleen en wanneer terug (mèt history)
- Customizeable toolbar waar de volgorde van de iconen kan worden aangepast en losse "separators" kunnen worden toegevoegd
- Importeerfunctie om (door Ant) naar HTML geexporteerde overzichten weer te importeren
- Indien "Length" leeg is en niet van de IMDB is te downloaden dit automatisch laten invullen door te kijken naar de video lengte van de bestanden
(bv stel dat de URL geen string imdb.com bevat dan de lengte in minuten vd bestanden nemen)
- In het picture gedeelte meerdere pictures (bv 7) kunnen invoeren
- In het picture gedeelte plaatjes kunnen invoeren vanuit het clipboard (CTRL-V)
- Een (in minuten) instelbare autosave functie naar te specificeren directory
- Bug?: Indien in source een selectie wordt gemaakt door de eerste (paar) letter(s) in te typen en vervolgens gecomplete met de TAB worden de ingetypte letters niet veranderd zoals ze in de pull-down staan. Met andere woorden een ingetypte kleine letter wordt niet vervangen door een hoofdletter als deze in de pulldown wel zo staat getypt. Dit geldt ook voor het Borrower pull-down menu.

- I may add a second rating field in the future (v4?)
- you mean being able to modify drop down lists ? Tools -> Preferences -> Drop down lists
- the URL field can be used for that. In version 3.5 a "browse..." item will be added to easily take the file path. In a future version I may add a field for multiple files paths.
- The standard windows drop down list does not allow that, so I do not know yet how I will manager that propertly in a future version. Currently you have to put things like "English/French" in the field, manually (or add it to the list if you need if often)
- It will be added in the future, but currently this history can already be saved in a CSV file (there is an option for that in the Preferences window).
- It is really not easy to make customizable toolbars. I use Toolbar2000 & TBX for the toolbars, but the customisation components for them are still under development. For the few people that may use that I do not want to work on that myself.
- Each HTML template is different, so it is not so easy. Well, if the user could provide the template used, then it could be quite easy to do. I may add it in the future
- The Length field can be imported from file, there is an option for that. It can also be imported by a script if the script does it (and can be disabled by removing the corresponding "setfield(...)" call in the script).

- Something like what word does ? It saves in a temp file, and when it crashes it checks if there was a temporary autosaved file. I'll see, but I do not think it is so useful to add that. It is not difficult to manually press Ctr+S sometimes while working in the catalog.

- When you select movies in the numbered list with the SHIFT key pressed and you scroll further down and select more movies than it automaticly scrolls back the windows to your first selection. The list should not move at all (without user intervention).
