on one file opens and I can work OK.. on the other I get this popup:
Access violation at address 00454690 in module 'moviecatalog.exe'. Read of address 83008300.
every few minutes.. confirm, and keep working..
tried reinstalling.. same issue.. any way to debug this?
what is that address mean :-)
movie file is copied across network to local drive and md5sum checksum are exactly the same. win2k sp4 on both systems, DELL GX270.
Access violation at address 00454690
it now started happening on the second computer too.. but it's not very reproducable.. if I hibernate my PC , next day it doesn't happen.. but when it does happen its very reproducable.
when I'm with mouse on top of ant window it never happens.. only happens when I move mouse outside the ant window in preparation to do some drag drop of AVI file.. then it happens..
but like I said, today it didn't happen once.. and I drag/dropped..
very strange... but for sure it *never* happened until I upgraded to the latest version 3.4.2 or so..

couldn't be a anti-virus or some files system watching app running problem ?Anonymous wrote:it now started happening on the second computer too.. but it's not very reproducable.. if I hibernate my PC , next day it doesn't happen.. but when it does happen its very reproducable.

no antivirus thing..
problem comes and goes.. my virus scanner is always set at exact same setting it has been for years, and I use ant for a long time.
I never reboot my machine.. always hibernate and resume.. my applications running on the system are always the same.. no more no less, I never open an application more than once.. if it's open it stays open.... like I said it started happening only after I upgraded to 3.4.3.. and since it happend I tried reboot, but still problem exists... now it's ok, not sure what changed..

If it happened with 3.4.2 it would be "normal" since there was a bug on some Pentium4-based systems.
But current version does not have this bug anymore.
I recently compiled the program with Delphi 7 instead of Delphi 6.
Could you please try this version :
ftp://ftp2.antp.be/antp/temp/amc350.rar
Be sure to test it carefuly and do backup copies of your catalogs : the files created with this version cannot be open with older versions, and there may be bugs
More info here : viewtopic.php?p=7077#7077
(it is a "work in progress" version)
