I Just Started using this application again a few weeks ago after many years using xmm. I like it much better now, thank you!
I was using the "update fields" to clean up imported db and got it all done and all set up and then hit a snag.
I opened up import scripts to use the update fields to find and replace and it is not listed any longer. It is in the scripts folder and it is in the scripts.ini file.
I tried removing it from the files in the scripts folder and also removing it from the ini and downloaded and restarted and none of that worked.
It is back in folder of scripts and also back in ini but not visible to choose when selecting a script.
Update fields is still missing from the list of scripts when check all is used. How can i fix this? I am Using latest build of amc.
Corrupted Scripts.ini?
Re: Corrupted Scripts.ini?
The only thing I can think of that may have happened is that I changed the options on update fields ,trying to understand the meaning (they are not in English that is clear to me). Is there something that makes it not visible that I can change back to defaults?
Re: Corrupted Scripts.ini?
After uninstalling and re-installing the entire application and regedit cleaning and putting all the setting back - I found it.
You can only use this script under tools - Not to be found under get from internet scripts. My very , very, very Bad! Hope you all have a very good day and thank you for this wonderful application!

Re: Corrupted Scripts.ini? - I really made a mess of this
Re-installing AMC has corrupted all of my titles saved in backed up catalogs. When I import them/open them, it changes the Formatted title I gave each movie, to a combination of that in ( ), and the original title. This will not work with the print outs, as it is too long.
What script may I use to remove each titles extra information.? Exp: Formatted title: "name of original title (name of formatted title)". I want to remove the section that is not in ( ).

Fixed it , I think ,under Prefs for Title view.

Re: Corrupted Scripts.ini?
Sorry for the lack of reply in time, but it looks like you sorted out everything yourself
The scripts.ini has two purposes:
- keeping the options selected for the last run of each script
- caching info of script so the window opens faster (no need to analyze the header of unmodified scripts)
