XML Export Bug in 3.34 RC1

Post by Rhum »

I maybe found a little bug in 3.34 RC 1 : exporting to XML and trying to open the generated file raises "Invalid XML File"
This used to work in previous version.

Leave a message if you want me to send the AMC file.

Thx for AMC, excellent by the way.

By "Export to xml" you mean File -> Save As, and then selecting "XML" in the filter list ?
If you open the file with Internet Explorer or a text editor, does it look fine ?
Could you send me the xml file ?

Actually there seems to be a problem with the XML save, it sometimes saves in old AMC format.
So just rename the .xml to .amc to get the file back...
I will correct that.

Precisions

Yes, I meant Save As for 'export'
(my main format remains AMC, I wanted XML to see how you organised it...)
To help you diagnose, I've upped my files on a web site :

Thx again for being so reactive to our messages.

There was a bug in the XML parser, it has been corrected. I updated the zip file, so if you want to try the program again you can download the file again.

On the way to Final Release !

Going from .AMC to .XML and back to .AMC gives exactly the same file as the original, so your implementation seems good now. Excellent job :)

I'll keep on trying RC2, and hope you'll have as many bug reports as needed :)

Our friends at BaseDvDivX have regained the ability to donwload information from MovieCovers (except for covers). Do you intend to include a script giving the same functionality ?

The homepage of moviecovers.com still says that it is down, so I wonder how it does that :??:
And if I cannot go to the site I cannot make a script...

Direct Kontact ?

Post by Rhum »

How about a direct contact to moviecovers webmasters ?
I don't think BaseDvDivX is specially a dependance from moviecovers, so I don't see why they wouldn't give your MovieCatalog access either.
Both products are good, each with particularities, and i think for moviecovers it's a way to stay on the road of Movie Reference Sites, even if it's not a very cool time for them at the moment...
