AMCflash (early stages)

Hi.

Now that my php template AMCphp (see this thread) is somewhat done, I've started work on a Macromedia Flash-based template.

Considering the look-and-feel, it will probably behave similar to AMCphp. Any suggestions or wishes already? Now's the time to tell me about them...

I'm way better in php compared to Actionscript, so this might take a little while. I've already managed to parse the XML save of AMC though.

VERY roughly estimated date of first beta version: end of september

Nothing to see yet, sorry. I'm a little short on time right these days and I'm trying to add multi-genre support (imdb-style) to AMCphp first.

To answer your question, it will be pretty much a conversion of AMCphp. Same kind of statistics. Maybe with an added print functionality (in case Actionscript supports it somehow...).

Hmm, that could be tricky without using a database. If it supports login than probably only one general password (in a settings file).

Beside, password protection is easy to do by using htaccess. Would work with any online solution, no matter if php, flash or html (as long as your webserver supports htaccess).

Now that I think about it, I'll probably try using htaccess...

AMCphp is finished now, AMCflash is up next. But I want to complete another little project of mine first (an online football Euro2004 prediction game). I might find a little time though to work on AMCflash as well...
