Editing movie fields
Editing movie fields
Hi, I just started using your software and I think i'm missing a very basic feature. How can I edit movie fields MANUALLY ? It should be simple enoughm right ? Select a movie and have the fields being displayed in an editable format. Any possibility to do it ? Thanks
Re: Editing movie fields
Hi,
What so you mean? Change how the fields appear and which one are available?
If so, this can be done by tweaking translation files.
It is not very difficult, but not especially intuitive, and not as user friendly as you expect.
You should find other threads about that on the forum.
(if you don't, I can do a search and post links to other threads for that)
Otherwise, if it is just for editing the movie info, I don't really understand the question
Fields are directly editable when a movie is selected in the list (except if displayed as grid)

Re: Editing movie fields
New user, same problem as bogdyro, cannot edit movie fields. Should be simple as you said "if it is just for editing the movie info... Fields are directly editable", but they are not, clicking on the fields does nothing, right click to edit brings up HTML editor. For example I just want to add 'date watched' or in some way indicate that and the fields are not editable. I started the database by exporting/importing from Collectorz, could that have locked up my database somehow.? Otherwise seems perfect for my needs. Thank you.
Re: Editing movie fields
HTML editor? Maybe you are in HTML view then, which is read-only.
You have to switch off the HTML view to be able to change field values.

Thank you very much for your reply. Display HTML or F12, would have never found it. Good stuff.
