"Not enough storage is available..." when creating

Post by crabtronic »

Hello all,

I'm using the software since the begining :grinking: . I've something like 12000 movies in the database. I've a computer with win 10 8G RAM

When I'm running a script like allocine or any other I get :
Thread creation error: Not enough storage is available to process this command.
Then few seonds after :
Some operation could not be performed because the system is out of resources. Close some windows and try again.
When I close these two popups it's hard to close the program and save the actual database. Sometime I must re-add the movie and re launch the script.

Sometime it's also happen when I'm just kliking in a movie in the list.

Please help.

The program is a 32-bit application so it is limited to 2 GB.
12000 movies may be a big catalog files... how big?
If it includes pictures, these are loaded at the same time as the catalog, you may reach the limit then.
A solution would then be to store the pictures externally (as files in the same folder or in a subfolder) ; in Tools -> Manage Pictures you can find options to handle such changes, but be sure to make backups first :D

If you count all the images that are now stored separately the total size should still be similar :)
But indeed now you should be safe for memory problem, and get a much faster load/save.

Hello, I have a very large catalog and it gives me memory problems and anothers problems. How can I delete the covers of the catalogs and pass them to a folder but they are linked.

I have found this program 4GB Patch in https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 to be able to run 32 bit programs on 64 bit computers. Sometimes it gives an "access violation" problem but very rarely.
In general it works well.

simply.... my database is about 11.000 movies, each of them with great resolution pictures and I have no problem.
Best thing is to reduce movies pictures dimensions, I think.
take a look to a script (I'm sure there is one) or a function in AMC to reduce pictures dimensions.
:)

Thanks for the advice, as I said in my previous post I have been able to solve it with the 4GB Patch program. It no longer gives me memory errors. My catalog has more than 25,000 movies and it works well.
