I just got a new win10 PC with a 24 inch HD monitor over the Xmas period. I have been using AMC for a very very long time and love it but when i use it on my new PC the text inside the programme (Movie titles, Labels ect) Look very blurred and hard to read compared to y win 7 PC. Other programmes look 100%. Can anyone help me fix this as its very annoying?
Thanks

Text Look Blurry on win10 HD monitor
Re: Text Look Blurry on win10 HD monitor
can the font be changed or is this an issue with the dpi settings?
Re: Text Look Blurry on win10 HD monitor
I suppose this happens when the text size is set to more than 100% in win10.
There may be some way to specify how the application should be scaled, I haven't much checked that yet.

Re: Text Look Blurry on win10 HD monitor
Thanks for replying. Yes i have to set my win10 scale to 150 as anything lower makes all look very small on my 24" HD monitor.antp wrote: 2019-01-21 20:30:05 I suppose this happens when the text size is set to more than 100% in win10.

is there any way we can fix this so that the AMC doesn't look blurred?
Thanks

As I said, I haven't much checked how to do that.
Maybe try this:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-chan ... 018-update
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-impr ... windows-10
There are three ways an old/classic app like AMC can behave:
- no scaling at all
- scaling by simply zooming everything, giving blurry texts
- scaling fonts - this was used by old Windows version and is more or less supported by AMC (95% of the items will display fine, some may be truncated)
I assume these three settings match the compatibility choices mentioned in these articles

This worked great.
I used the "high dpi scaling override" option set to "System (Enhance)" in the Compatibility Menu. I have a 24" Full HD monitor with my resolution set to the Native 1920 x 1080 and my win 10 scaling at 150%. AMC looks pretty good at this under these settings and is very usable.
Many thanks for your help

Re: Text Look Blurry on win10 HD monitor
Thanks for the feedback, this can be useful to others then.
Normally I think I should be able to include in AMC something that make Windows use that setting by default.
