Un my MP4 files there is a date/time tag, UTC one. A bit like EXIF data in JPEG files.

to use that as a possible source for renamings.

It is on my to-do list since some time (since so long that back then the popular format was stil AVI...)

I am also urgently waiting for a solution, to set the duration of a movie, especially .MP4 Files, into the filename.
As there are no updates since a vaery long time, how are the chances, that this will be available in near future?

On my to-do list it was about AVI, as I said, but if some day I do that it would be for major current video formats I suppose.
