Preconfigured drop-down list not visible/editable.

Post by Ferry »

Hi,

Don't know if I am doing something wrong, something went wrong while updating or simply am missing something, but after updating from version 4.1.0.2 to 4.1.2.3 my preconfigured entries in the (source field) drop-down box is not showing up anymore in the preferences drop-down list.

To be more precise: while using the drop-down box the enties are still there but when I would like to change something in this list the entries are not visible in the preferences. I can only add new entries but then the old ones are gone. It is impossible to change the existing ones simple because they are not visible.

Did I do something wrong or is this a bug?

By the way, great program! Am using it for years now.

Best regards.

Hi,
What options are selected for the lists?
One of the options is to display the other values of the catalog, and then as the list is made automatically you can't edit it.

Hi,

The only thing selected now in the 'Options for list: Source' is 'Auto-sort' items. I've been playing around with the other options but my previously added values are never visible. So, like I said before I can still select them when adding a new record but cannot edit them or remove them using the preferences. I've noticed that I in fact can change or remove them while adding or viewing records. But, correct me if I'm wrong, it's not possible this way to change an entry for all records at once like I could do before.

For now I have re-entered them using preferences. Fortunately it weren't that many.

Regards,
Ferry

I am not sure to understand everything here.
The values of that list are just an "help" to fill the fields of the records.
Changing the contents of the list does not change values already set in movies.

Didn't know that. Thought it did in older versions, my mistake. Remains the question why this preconfigured list is empty after updating. If you can use it, as I do, then the entries should still be there after updating, shouldn't they?

Are other preferences correctly stored?
The values may be lost if you changed settings there, but except that if you enter values they should stay.

I've not set any other preferences really. I started changing source field drop-down box options only when I noticed my preconfigured entries were gone, not before. By now, I have overwritten my back-up (like I said I entered my settings again), so I can't reproduce this. If I have time I will install the old version in a VM and create a new database with some entries and will update to the latest version to see what happens. For now, let's just close this thread. Thank you for your time.

None of drop down lists for Source or Media Type are visible. I used to be able to get get around this somehow but I've forgotten.

To all members in this topic : is there any solution available for this problem please ? I also have to correct my options when entering the drop down menus because the program reject them and refuses memorizing.
Strange anyway. :??:
