"Source Folder" to be used to update a field in AM

Post by KoolPal »

Hi,

Is it possible to use the "Source Folder" during media import to update a field for that movie?

Currently, I upload each folder, run Update Fields script and update the source folder details into Source field against that movie. Too painful!

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi,

I meant the of the folder to scan during media import.

For e.g. during media scan, I would point the folder path to G:/01

the preview would list the Media Label, Path upto folder name of movie, etc.

What I want to include is the path given by me above as a field.

Please see screenshot

Hi,

Unfortunately, this value (folder to scan during media import) can not be assigned to a field directly during media import.
You can use the script UpdateField after import to assign the value to a specified field or change the default value of the specified field in preferences before import.
Sorry.

Thanks Soulsnake,

I am using UpdateField currently, but it was painful and was looking for an alternative method.

Thanks for the quick replies.

God bless.
