Randomized file names. . . Now the files are invalid?

I am trying to make picture slideshow using Windows Movie Maker. I want to randomize the pictures so I used the random names function on ant renamer. The file names changed and are randomized but the picture files are invalid. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm pretty terrible at anything technology-related.

Maybe you didn't keep the extensions of the files?
You have to put for example %random%%ext% so they keep their original extension.
If they were all jpeg you could afterwards add a .jpg extension to the already renamed files.
