As a new user I am very impressed with the product and the quality of the forums. I tried at least three others and finally found AMC. I was able to import almost all of the fields for all my movies (891) from Movienizer. However, there were some fields that didn't import so I added custom fields which I would like to populate with a default value. I created the fields with the required default and it works just fine for the new movies which I added. However, the imported movies have the field as a blank (which makes sense.) I looked through the scripts and the forums for a Global Update function which would place a single value in a field for ALL records. For example I have a field "Location" which I would like to populate with a default value. I would be more that happy to change the few that are different. Does one exist or should I start studying AMC's source code.I also downloaded the reader to my Archos 101, Android 2.2 and it works flawlessly.

I haven't seen such responsiveness from commercial tech support let alone an open source program. The answers from forum members are equally impressive. Guess Open Source and GNU do really work.Larrie
