[REL] Updated script for adultdvdempire
I made changes to the ADE script to make it work with the new site design. Maybe not as complete as the original, but working for most details. Will be maintaining in the future as possible.

ADE script -- Great News!
Thanks, I've searched all over for this... let me see if I can install it properly since it's my first time using ANT. I was using Movie Collector for ADE with Perl Script, but it just does not work!
Thanks and keep us updated, ;o)

ADE script -- Great News! Part 2
Hi again, I've been playing around with your ADE Script dated 11/3/2012 and indeed it does work to some degree, I just have to become ANT savvy and learn all of the features, the ins and outs so that I can get back to my adult dvd database maintenance.
Problem: I see that most titles I fetch from ADE there are entries where the quotations are screwy... here's an example of a Devil's Films, The script enters: Devil's Film
Problem: I would generally search by UPC, and when it pulls in the data, ANT leaves that entry blank -- it refers to the UPC as the "Media Type", for me Media Type" would be DVD or BluRay, but whatever, just wanted the actual UPC in there, not blank.
I hope there's a workaround for this, because there might be tens of thousands of instances where quotations are in the name, the titles, or the synopsis.
I am waiting to receive my UPC scanner so I can scan in all of my 6000 adult dvd titles, and then run the script through it. I hope ANT can batch process, ;o)
Please keep us up to date on your ADE progress, this is truly wonderful --
Thanks so much!

Just to understand: you are using the UPC when you are prompted by the script to enter the movie name, and then you would like the UPC filled into the Media Type field?
Do the other fields (at the moment I am only fetching Original Title, Cast, Categories, Director - if available, Production Year and Synopsis, plus the large front image or the thumbnail - whichever available) fill correctly for you?

RE: ADE script -- Great News!
Actually, I was confused with the label used by ANT, the MEDIA TYPE is okay, however is not populated by the ADE search. I'm thinking that it should fill in with DVD or BluRAY, and I find myself entering that data in manually. All of my media titles are DVD, rather.
As for the "MEDIA LABEL" I assume that this is the space provided for the UPC Barcode, no? I generally search using a Barcode, and if I get no result -- I follow up with the actual name. However, even when ANT finds a movie in the ADE Script, it adds the data, but leaves that MEDIA LABEL blank, it doesn't even enter the UPC Barcode I provided, what's funny is that it found my movie "based" on that UPC number! ;o)
I think my biggest gripe is the issue with the quotations, most titles I fetch from ADE there are entries where the quotations are screwy... as stated on previous thread.
Now, all-in-all, I must say that I am impressed by the overall results, and I'm looking forward to a few updates that'll nip in the butt, and outstanding annoyances.
You asked about the population of other fields... Yes, excellent job! They fill in beautifully. I'd like to have: Language, and Subtitles (where applicable) I do have a huge collection of Latina Porns.
NOTE: One title didn't pull up much data: Dawn of the Head from Evolution Erotica, see what you pull up. Description says: "Coming soon..."
Thanks so much for responding so quickly!

Hi again, sorry to dig up this bone again... but I'm not successful at all in getting data entered into the "MEDIA LABEL" I assume that this is the space provided for the UPC Barcode, no?c123 wrote:Just to understand: you are using the UPC when you are prompted by the script to enter the movie name, and then you would like the UPC filled into the Media Type field?

Is there anyone else that have migrated from Movie Collectorz, onto AMC with success using Adult DVD Empire script?

I created a new version (1.4.1), with the following changes:
- fixed the single quotes problems in both the search selection window and in various fields
- added a new property (ImportUPCInMediaLabel), default 1, which, if set (and also if the field Media Label is set to writabel when running the script), will take the UPC from the page and set it into the Media Label field
- you can search by UPC, entering it in the search box instead of the title
- the search box selection list has some improvements to get the release year more reliable
I am not exaclty sure how the new version of the script can be loaded into AMC. Copying the file over the one in Program Files / AMC/ Scripts clearly overwrites the file, but AMC, even after reopening, seems to remember the old script. Sometimes the new script shows up... I ended up just renaming the new file version and copying it in the script. Maybe one of the program creators can explain the mechanism better.
Anyway, the new file is here:
