help - 10dvd case template cover

Hi there, i´m a newbie around here. I managed to update my dvd collection buying a few - 10 dvd`s case - to store them. My question is, if its possible to create a dvd cover to this king of case.
I noticed that there´s already a few 6 divx in 1dvd cover. But not only can i manage to chage that out to make it 10 as also i cant find any info on making for 10. Please can somebody lend a hand on this one?

Did you try to change a little the template to fit the size of your box?
From what I remember, the template for 6 require you to select the 6 movies and then open the print window. If you do the same with 10 movies it should work...

Please, i guess i´m not quite explain it very well...
See, when i select more than 10 movies and use the "6 in 1" template the printer will assume the template only for 6 movies as it is designed to. Look at the pic please:

What i really need, and i´m able to insert the new case measures editing this "6 on 1", is to have it for "10 on 1". I can´t see how to edit it proper!!

The template occupies 1/6th of the page area. If it occupies 1/10th of the area it will fit 10 movies instead of 6.
You should simply reduce the size of the contents, e.g. to fit 5 instead of 3 in the height, so the template should use only 1/5th of the page height rather than 1/3rd.

Hummm guess i understand now what you meant for "change a little the template to fit the size of your box".
I just edit the picture size, and make it to "14 dvd in 1"...i now have the "big picture".
Now it´s time to reflect on the things i should really care to have as info on that case, because 10 dvd will force me to decrease not only the letters as all the objects.
Happy happy happy, joy joy joy...i love to be creative.
Congratulations this program ant movie catalog is really what i expected.
Very original.
Later I will need to make a html template to have it on my ps3 memory. It will be some sort of index album whenever i wanna search or watch any movie of my collection.

antp i´m not very good with numbers (1/6 ; 1/10

)...my metric scale sucks.
If you have any idea, could you edit or create a simple template and put it available here for all the forum?
That will be a "10" for me

Well numbers up to 10 are not that hard...
You have a page with 6 movies.
If you want to put 10 on the same page, they must be smaller...

in red, the used space of the template
in blue, where the program repeats the red part for movies 2, 3, etc.
1 red + 5 blues = 6 boxes
if the red box is smaller, it can repeat it more, allowing space for 9 blue boxes.
The red box is one third of the height of the page as you can see (2 blue box below). If you make it smaller, you can fit five boxes instead of three. So 10 in total on the page.

That red and blue lines are as good as i´m with math...

My humble thanks for your words, i strongly understand 1/3 and 1/6...now thanks to you.

Far as i can see from your image, guess i´m able to make the red info as an object! And if i use the object inspector, may i insert manually the top, width properties of the red object?

I would like to put each movie number on the middle rectangle instead of "dvx001"...and on the lateral side of the case (blue squares) any other info...

I will make the prototype and insert it here.

You can resize the blocks by "dragging" the corners (like when resizing a window)
For the text in vertical, I do not think it will be possible to put there a list of movies though.

I managed to use your help to make a new template, i took away some information and keep the actors lenght year and descrition...the only problem its when i try to print the border dont appear properly?

You are right, there was a little problem with margin top (0 px instead of 5 during printing).
This is fixed on new template, just re-download it

That was fix...but we cant still have the proper borders when printing in order to cut it...

Hi soulsnake, i´ve upload the file but still i´m not able to see the border corners to cut it, only the down line, but the right left and up are still missing. I´m cutting with scissors but seems so boring...with lines should be perfect. Merci a vous

with the lines on the borders it will be easy to do this job...i have only 30 pages to go...

When i try to print using this template (epson 1310 psc series) the borders and the right numbers of films dont appear!

Your printer seems to be incapable of producing borderless prints.
Try to install PDFCreator to print result in a PDF file and print this PDF file on newer printer that can produce borderless prints if you can.

soulsnake thank you for the helping hand...the cases keep being filled and the covers are just very fine

I had to cut them with a x-acto (a small blade - don´t know how you called in english or french...).
I will post a picture of it when the work is finally done.
