I'm stuck and could use someone's help.
I've been using AMC for a few years now and find it extremely easy, except for html export...I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but no matter what I export or the template I use, my finished, exported .html page is never filled in with info, just the tags.
I've tried to export using AMC 3.5.1.2 and 4.1.1.2 and the end result is always the same regardless of what I have checked, selected, or all in the html export screen.
What am I doing wrong, did I skip a step or something? Please help.
Help with HTML Export - Movie info not be exported
Hi,
In export window, you put an individual template where a full template is expected so this doesn't work.
You can see on top window:
- "Full" for full template (result = all movies in one html file)
- "Individual" for individual template (result = one movie in one html file).
Here "Full" is selected, so you have to put a full template or nothing.
By cons, you can put "HTMLDefaultTemplate.html" in "Individual" but not in "Full".
Before export, see what you choose to export at right of "Individual" button.
Here "Export both" is selected so this will export "Full" and "Individual" html files if template is not empty. But you can choose to export only selected template if you don't want to export both.

Thanks Soulsnake...
I followed your instructions, the first time was a no go. So I tried to replicated something I had done before by uninstalling then reinstalling amc -- for some reason, not sure why, it didn't go as it had the past 3 times I tried it.
With another new install, export is working more than once and this time I'm getting 2 html files (for "individual") and the graphics for the layout with the export whereas I hadn't before. 1 of the 2 html files is the name I save the export as. When opened, it only contains tags like before. The other file, named about the same (just appended with the movie number) contains the actual info.
For a "full" export, I do still get an extra file, but it's only 1 with the original file name. I can definitely deal with 1 extra file
Thank You! I knew AMC was good, now that I got help from the people behind it, AMC is, in my book, the BEST! You guys are awsome...thanks so much for your help and your extremely quick responses.
