I see in the changelog that you've addressed the problem of the cursor focus following the mouse - That has caused me no end of headaches recently when working with the program...

Unfortunately for me, it appears that it hasn't resolved the problem - It's still doing it in this latest update.

I thought it might be the "Hot Track" feature, but I've turned it on and off several times, restarting each time, but the problem persists.

Really hope you can stop it from doing this

Also, is there any way to change the way the URL field handles IMDb URL's? In my catalog, all the IMDb URL's are saved thusly: http://imdb.com/title/tt0093870 (the 'www.' and the trailing '/' are cut off)

Unfortunately for me, it appears that it hasn't resolved the problem - It's still doing it in this latest update.

If mouse cursor is on movie list and you don't move mouse after a tab, movie list will not take focus. But if you move mouse, movie list will take focus.
Maybe I should add an option to activate / deactivate autofocus on movie list and html viewer when mouse move on them.
The upsides of autofocus is you don't have to click on movie list / html viewer to get focus and so you can use scroll or key shorcuts directly on them.

Thank You, soulsnake - I would very much appreciate the option to turn that feature on / off

Most of the time when adding info for a newly entered movie, I'm ALT-TABbing back and forth between AMC, Firefox, a text file, checking different versions of DVD Covers / Posters / other cover art, etc., and invariably the mouse gets moved in the process, causing me to either be entering the info into the wrong field of that movie, or in some cases (when the mouse has moved over the left-hand movie list), an entirely different movie...

The final version of AMC 4.1.1 is ready to be released but a lot of translations have not been updated yet.

Hi,

I can still wait one week before to release the final version.
It should be enough.

The translation files are available here (they are all up to date):

You will find the Norwegian translation file.

It is easy to translate.
The lines that begin with two spaces are the new lines to translate.
The string to translate on line is after the first '='.
All chars such as '|' or '&' are normal and have to be keeped.
You can put '&' char in another place in word, it is the key char of the word and it is used when you use ALT key to select a menu item / button.
(e.g. 'test s&tring on menu item or button' -> key = t -> ALT + t will select this menu item or button)

Is there any way to change the behavior of the program to where the "Open" (or "Select a Picture") dialogue points to the folder where the current movie's DVD Cover is located, instead of the "Last Opened" folder?

I have my covers in alphabetically-named folders and it would save considerable mouse clicks if it operated this way

Also, since I see you're nearly ready for the "Final" 4.1 version, is it time yet to start discussing your plans for the new multiple covers/screenshots/art implementation?

I suspect you're going to add another Tab for the new pictures, and while that would probably be the best way to go, especially for folks who have a large number of additional art to add in, I'd like to suggest something along the lines of Ticondaroga's Bug Catalog, where the additional pictures would remain viewable from the main interface window (perhaps as he did with a scrolling strip down the right side), instead of having to switch tabs. Granted, having all the additional pics on a separate tab would also be nice, so as to be able to see them all at once, it just seems like having to switch tabs would break the continuity of browsing your catalog.

Here is a screenshot of one of my modified UI Bug Catalogs (please disregard the 'download' links - this was one I used to generate Blog posts for a file-sharing Blog I used to run :P )

You can select a specified folder in Preferences > Folders > Folder to use for : 'Load movie picture'.
This should reduce a little the number of mouse clicks.

here are some suggetions:

1) a option to import movies when the tool start (monitoring)

2) please add a label with movie x/y to the script window

done very well again. Working with boring catalogs can now be kinda fun

The only small issues I found so far are some missing (german) translations in the preferences in "general display" and "movie-list".

Well, this might be obvious for most people but perhaps it would also be a good idea - at least for beginners - to translate the info in the status line (selected, checked, visible) to prevent confusion because of different words for same thing (e.g. in german you have to "markieren" a movie an then it is "checked" but should be "markierte").

Nevertheless there are two additional functionalities which I guess can be helpfull working with bigger catalogs:

1) Can the naming of the colors pls. be changed by the user (instead of color tag 0, color 1, ...) - which doesn´t make any sense to me anyway.
I heavily use the coloring system and "know" the meaning of each color, but hey, it would be much nicer to give them a useful name. Can these names be catalog specific?

2) Maybe a big and maybe a useless one:
For e.g. generating some sub-catalogs it would be helpful to work with multple catalogs at the same time. What I mean is having one ore more catalogs open in tabs so I that can select multiple movies an drag&drop (=copy) them to a second catalog. Comparing catalogs might also be done easier.
I know, all this can be done by checking, selecting, deleting, saving and importing using multiple instances of AMC, but nevertheless, the working process can be easier within a multiple catalog environment.

So, pls. take this as an suggestion which needs proof of feasibility and usefulness.

The new lines added in German translation file has not been translated since version 4.1.0.
I wait a lot of time that some people help to translate the translation files but some of them have not been updated yet !
If you want you can update the German translation file for last version 4.1.1 !

All translations files are ready to be translated.
You juste have to translate the new lines which begin with 2 spaces (to differentiate them with lines already translated).

OK, I see, it´s quite easy.

Apart from this I guess it´s better to have a complete translation from the same person.
Just in case the official/actual translator will or can not upate the (german) language file, I´ll send you my translation of the remaining lines within the next 2-3 weeks.
